PBI has released its 2025 Law Firm Pro Bono Challenge® Report based on 2024 data from reporting law firm Challenge signatories. The 2025 Challenge Report comes amid the 30th anniversary of the Law Firm Pro Bono Challenge initiative, and at a time when law firm pro bono faces unique challenges.
The 2025 Corporate Pro Bono Challenge® Report, based on 2024 data from reporting Challenge signatories, provides valuable insights into the complex pro bono landscape and highlights pro bono trends across a sample of in-house legal departments. While average pro bono participation rates declined slightly in 2024 compared to 2023, many departments maintained or increased their pro bono engagement.

In partnership with Latham & Watkins, and for the first time, the Thomson Reuters Foundation, PBI released the sixth edition of the Global Pro Bono Guide, formerly known as the Global Pro Bono Survey.
The newest version is the most comprehensive edition of the Guide to date, expanding coverage to more than 100 jurisdictions worldwide, up from 84 in the 2019 edition, and offering practical, jurisdiction-specific insight to support and strengthen pro bono practice globally.
Global Due Diligence Manual (updated May 2026) – This hands-on guide that will help you locate, vet, and take on global pro bono opportunities. It covers clearinghouses, major NGO clients, research projects, broader engagements, managing pro bono conflicts, and how to create synergies across your organization.
